General Guidelines of the Forum Moderators
(Continually evolving)

1): Swearing is pretty much part of the Australian language so it will be tolerated to a degree. It will be totally the moderators judgment on this one
Swearing as part of a personal, racial, cultural or sexual insult will be edited so don’t bother. .

2): The forum is for discussion of knives.
Attacks on minority groups will not be tolerated. Go and find yourself a political forum, there are hundreds. Attacks on individuals for personal reasons will not be tolerated, sort it out between yourselves don't drag it through the forum.

3): Personal argument can be conducted via personal messages and then email. Other members of the forum are not interested in your personal argument. Posts will be deleted so don’t bother..

4): The forum is to promote the responsible ownership, use and collection of knives by law abiding people. If you carry a knife for self defence and you think that's pretty cool and want to tell us all about it, don’t bother. It is an illegal activity and we do not want any criminals on this site. Persist and I will ban you but I will give ample warning.

5): If you would like to discuss the concept of self defence, the General Forum would be the correct area.

6): If you have smuggled knives through customs knowing they are illegal, you think that pretty clever and want to tell us all about it, don’t bother, it also is an illegal activity and we do not want any criminals on this site. Persist and I will ban you. You will be warned

7): Many people on this forum rely on a good relationship with customs officials to get their knives imported. While it is acceptable to question some decision or inefficiencies in the customs department lets remember they are only doing their job. Insults and deformation without evidence, other than hear say will not be tolerated. We have at least one knife collecting customs officer that I know of that reads knife forums. He is on our side lets keep it that way.

8): Insults and defamation of clubs, associations or other forums will not be tolerated

9): No images larger than 700x540, and preferably web-optimized

10): Remember this is a public forum and everything that you write is viewable by the public whoever they may be


I think you will find that we can be pretty approachable on all these issues, if you disagree with any moderators decisions please PM the moderator concirned before complaining publicly. The moderator may have a good reason thay you are not aware of.

If there are any posts that you find offensive and feel in need of censoring please PM a moderator

Remember the moderator are all volunteers here, they have better things to do with their lives.
If you are polite they will be happy to consider your issues. If you are aggressive and insulting they may not consider anything.
